Yoast SEO announced a plugin update on March 2, 2023, for added security, and recommended that all users upgrade immediately. It follows recent findings by Wordfence, which revealed a flaw in a different SEO plugin, and Yoast, which found a similar but less serious flaw in their own code.

Yoast claims that they addressed the flaw quickly and informed their users of the good news. However, they also admitted that they will be releasing a complete write-up of the incident and who might have been affected soon.

Yoast’s swift response and openness about the issue are admirable, given the plugin’s popularity. Users may rest assured that Yoast will respond to their questions and concerns about the upgrade because user security is a top priority for the company.

If you’re using Yoast SEO, you should upgrade to the newest version immediately.  Yoast’s support team is also available to assist with any questions or concerns that users may have during the update process.
